About this product

Product Information

In Tapper the user takes control of a bar tender with a full house. The bar to be tended contains four tables, and on each table is an advancing patron who wishes a beer. The patrons slowly advance on the tender who must dispense a beer from one of four kegs and slide it along the table to knock the patron back to the beginning of the table.

To satisfy the patrons one must continually offer up beverages. Some customers finish their drinks faster than others and some even send their mugs back, sliding them back up the bar as they begin to advance anew. These returning mugs must be captured, because if a mug should break, the player loses a life. Another instance when a player could lose a life is if the tender should send a beer down a table where the patron is currently enjoying a beverage. The unclaimed drink will smash into the far wall, costing the user a life. As well, if a patron makes it to the end of the table without a beer, the user will be throttled for being a poor tender.

When the patrons are pleased with the performance of the tender they will drop a tip on the table. The tender must then dash down the to the section of the table and grab the cash and then hurriedly run back to continue serving the beers.

The cash awarded is used to increase a player's score, which can also be increased by simply serving more beers. The score is used as a high score mechanism and certain milestones will also award additional lives.

In the options screen at the beginning of the game the user can choose one or two players that are player in alternating form. The user is also allowed to select between a joystick or keyboard control system and three difficulty levels. The differences between the difficulty levels are the increasing speed of the encroaching patrons.
